The U.S. Department of State has awarded DynCorp International (NYSECP) a task order for the Iraq Civilian Advisor Support (ICAS) under the International Civilian Police (CIVPOL) contract.
DynCorp International won the re-compete of the overall Civilian Advisor Support work in Iraq that was awarded in 2004. The new task order has a value of $545.7 million over a performance period of 22 months.
DynCorp International will recruit more than 800 civilian police advisors to help advise, train and mentor the Iraqi Police Service, Ministry of Interior, and Department of Border Enforcement.
These police mentors will be assigned to the Civilian Police Advisory Training Team (CPATT), the component of the U.S. military Multinational Security Transition Command responsible for the U.S.-led effort to train and equip the Iraq police service, and will work with the military police teams under the command of Multi-National Corps-Iraq (MNC-I).
DynCorp International will provide support services for the civilian police advisors it provides and for the judicial and corrections advisors provided by another contractor. These services include life and mission support, security services, and IT and communication services.
DynCorp International has been a major part of the CIVPOL mission in Iraq since 2003, and is also working under the CIVPOL contract to strengthen law enforcement institutions and activities in Haiti, Sudan, Liberia, and Afghanistan, and for the Palestinian Authority.

Hello Praetorian, Sanddancer here. Interested in the Dyncorp CIVPOL post! Any chance of the contact details mate & do they only recruit US nationals (I think that has been their policy in the past)?

Sanddancer, yes DynCorp will only recruit US Citizens for this job. I used to work with CPATT in Basrah, they were all ex US Law Enforcement. Because it is a State department contract they are tied to using US personnel only. Unless they have changed the rules mate. I hope this answers your query.

As I said I have posted in good faith.

However I wish to say Alex that there is currently a recruitment of UK guys ongoing. It may be new but I can confirm it is happening..........in the office next to mine!!

However your experience of the set up is undoubtedly right and I am aware that you have some depth of knowledge on this subject . I resubmit- 'in good faith' it was for whoever 'the cap fitted'.

general note -I have stopped posting jobs now due to the disturbing negativity that follows them.

Hi Mate

You should not feel that there is a negative vibe for posting jobs after all that is what it is supposed to be about here on CPW , a community helping each other.

I would suggest that if you receive negative responses, it is normally from those who fail in selection or who are unemployable and hence pissed off at the world for their predicament.

What you have posted helps mate and I really do hope you will continue. People get more pissed off at the nonsense jobs, fibs and CV hunters, never seen genuine jobs get balked at.

In response to Alex, Yep Dyn only emply US Citizens for the CIVPOL tasks , but praetorian is also correct, they are now hiring UK, NZ and AUS citizens on the Psd roles.

They are now recruiting UK Nationals for their CivPol trainers jobs, well that is new. Everytime I have visited the DynCorp site all jobs they advertise state that you have to be a US National to apply. Do you have another site address or an email address I can contact them on??

Agree completely

We cannot perform due diligence on another's behalf, we do not have the time...nor frankly, the inclination. Many of us have come across jobs being advertised on other sites, spared a thought for the guys and girls on here and taken the time to post them.

It absolutely baffles me how some people react to them and how negative the response sometimes is. Then we get a barrage of questions about who this is and how are the company and little remarks about this and that........

If a person cannot appreciate that another is trying to help them and that it is encumbant upon them then to do the necessary research and checks (after all, we are supposed to be in security aren't we!!) well!! what next?

If someone was to take on the full time responsibility to trawl around the web, newspapers, magazines etc to source potential jobs and then provide that information as well as perform the checks etc then in my mind.....that someone is performing a valuable service and should be getting paid for it. But the way things seem, they would probably be bombarded with accusations about their motives and accused of trying to make money off someone else's misfortunes.

You just cant win!!

Mate keep posting them, your motives are to be applauded as are those of all who have genuine thoughts in their heads and just ignore the ever bigger group of people who seem to think that winging and whining is going to get them work.

Rant over!!
