To all of you thought thought slating someone you don't know on a public forums was clever...

The company that offered the contract starting September, interviews in July/August is NOT a British company. I have known the MD for a while and can honestly say he's legit, as will some other people here.

IF you can't check with companies house and make your own conclusions and even worse can't read (as I'm quiet certain Mally stated certain points in regards posting abuse about companies and/or persons) see one of the posts above this one. If you don't trust foreign companies, you could just remain working on the UK Circuit & festivals. I prefer to work international, each to their own.

For as my friend, he's completely lost interest in using any people through this site, except the ones he knows and worked with before, and I can't blame him, racial abuse and doubting his professionalism, it wouldn't go down well with anyone.

To the ones he knows and got their CVs, I've just spoken to Barr and it seems thumbs up for a cool one. I hope to see you there.

To go short: Nor you, nor any employer is God, slate someone today loose out on something good tomorrow.

I'm referring to the one that has been removed last night, due to racial abuse and slating.

The request was for CVs and interviews to be held in the UK July/Aug. Contract starting Sept 2008.

There was a good job posting on the site by Barr. Then a certain person going by the name of Greg 21 took it upon himself to totally slate the company Barr was representing and to make matters worse then started giving Barr racial abuse.

I believe the original post has now been removed

@sunny, I read the announcement and the replys this morning, just my opinion: I think a lot of users here in the forum had bad experiance with job offers, a lot of companies collecting CV´s with faked job announcements. This is maybe the reason why people start to research about companies and its allways looks strange if this company is not found on any offical website like the company house or having a own website to verify that the job offer is serious. Just my two cents :-)

However, we all know that a lot of possibles lead to 1 good one if you're lucky .
Racial abuse, slating, unprofessional behaviour won't go down well with any client, nor employer.

If you can't find out yourself: ask!

Didn't see it but from what i gather from you both......the guy has reflected badly the site itself and all the good, professional members on it.

I wonder a letter from CPWorld to Barr might go some way towards repairing the damage.

You're 100% correct Dirk. I have even posted a thread on the exact topic, however, this one was out of line. However, as i mentioned there, one should not just lynch off the bat as was done.

One lesson that should be heeded by all is that if new to the site and advertising a position, a good into goes a long way.
