I currently have a driving company in dublin, ireland but to be honest i have seriously itchy feet. I was a bodyguard in south africa from 1999 to 2004, and before returning home fully qualified as a firearms instructor (shotgun, pistols/revolvers, rifles), i've completed every course going, but i've no military experience. On returning to ireland i've managed security companies but moved onto driving israeli ambassadors. I would love to get out and do more high risk work. Anyone any sugestions. I realise that the lack of military experience goes against me.
Also on reading a job app for spain, how does one get a licence to carry a weapon in europe??? |

As far as i am aware every country requires a permit to carry, some countrys are harder than others unless your are working for an international company that have already gained the licence. There is a cross borders licence but this only applies to Atheletes and Sport Hunters. See an Exmaple of france : Provisional licences to carry firearms concern escorts for personalities during short stays in France. The decision as to whether or not such a licence should be issued lies solely with the Ministry of the Interior and depends on the nature of the threat against the person under escort and on the means available to the police to counter it. Licences are granted only for the protection of personalities on the French territory and their validity is limited to the effective length of stay.
