Why do people insist on publishing their CV and home address on the net? Why do CP's queue up for the job? If it sounds too good to be true it is.

We have people on other threads willing to work for F'all, we have people on this thread willing to work for a dodgey kebab shop owner in East London, we have people asking "where do I go now I've finished my course for a highly paid job in London???" If you want a job fellas, you'll have to fight plenty of people for it, but this one on this thread is complete bollocks.

Guys

Spoke with a friend of mine at the UN who is working in this area in Turkey he says there is alot of this hiring going on, there is alot of Russians ex soviet block blokes running around basically he says its well dodgy they are using these contractors as bait in the rebel areas hoping that the better "trained" contractors will wipe out the rebels when the convoys etc get attacked.

Plus to this he says beaware of people from this area collecting information from you to sell on to the Iraqi insurgeants already happened to one of his guys he started getting funny letters in the post and phone calls at home.

And to all new members and those new to the HE industry.... there endeth the lesson....

Ourselves and many of the experienced members on the forum have warned about this many many times , but it beggars belief that people still seem to send their details , time and time again without checking these people out ....

We mailed the guy first to ask him to verify his post and got a load of tripe and a gmail account ... he posted some pictures of rebels , old geezers and a bomb attack which are not exactly evidence of his legitimacy.

Gents again, use the noodle... how much of this stinks to the majority of us ???

1 Written from a private gmail
2 refuses to put any cell phone or company name
3 wages are unrealistically high
4 changes the job description and personnel needed
5 decides that he is not the person responsible for hiring but that after less than 24 hrs all slots are filled (previously he said they needed to read and mail back)
6 Stated that many of the applicants were from Spain etc
7 Tells someone else that they want US Marines and FFL??

Gents I really am trying not to be unduly nasty nor sound contrived but this guy is full of shite and my advice would be to send nothing ... PERSEC is undoubtedly worrying as the guy has flat out refused to identify himself....

Anyone who sent a CV , lets hope you removed personal details and addresses etc.....

Lets see if matey comes back, or if the lads want to publish a "no personal details" copy of different emails he sent out to them. I beleive different types of military backgrouds received different emails. Might give us an insight on how this guy is targeting people. The thread could be used as a reference about persec etc. Just a thought.

Tend to agree with that Shakespeare...perhaps this could be used as a 'case study' somewhere on the site along with references to what happens when it all goes wrong...

For sure there is enough evidence of that dating back to the 1960's, 70's and here now in 2008.

I would be interested to know what CM and Mally think of this as an educational tool?

That is a profound point and indication of the state of play currently.

It's extremely sad how guys who should have persec at the top of their list will lay themselves wide open and swallow up all the "upcoming contracts" CV collecting exercises out of pure desperation to get these high paid jobs; chasing glory.

I will be happy to forward the mails we received from this geezer for the good of others, perhaps a similar addition to this proposed thread should be the 'Mr Beale' scam ... we could use it as an educational thread to newer members of the industry.

Hi Guys,

As suggested by Neil ive closed the thread but it will remain visible for all to see and read.

A good suggestion to use the thread as an example and therefore will leave it here for all to see.

This thread has been a good example how the community within the forum has worked together to help each other out. Good work guys. Lets keep our eyes open and ear to the ground for more potential trouble.
