Reporting to the Field Security Officer, the Security Lieutenant will have the following duties and responsibilities: 1. Threat/security level monitoring and analysis, including compilation of threat assessments and monitoring of security situation reports, travel advisories or other pertinent sources of security information. 2. Provide security advice to ICC staff. 3. Conduct liaison with security focal points in UN, NGO, governmental and other agencies. 4. Commercial guard force management at ICC facilities. 5. Plan, supervise and execute security support to special projects, such as Close Protection assignments or investigative operations. 6. Investigate and prepare reports of security-related incidents. 7. Ensure ICC compliance with Minimum Operating Security Standards (MOSS) and Minimum Operating Residential Security Standards (MORSS) in the field. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Completion of secondary education. 2. At least eight years of progressive experience gained via service in the police, military, United Nations Security or a government security agency with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role. 3. Extensive professional field experience at the international level, such as peace-keeping or humanitarion operations. KNOWLEDGE OF LANGUAGES Fluency in either of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is essential. Working knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another official language of the Court would be considered an asset. (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) NB: The Court reserves the right not to make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a lower grade, or to make an appointment with a modified job description.
