Hi all

Sorry if this isnt the right place to posting this but Im still getting used to navigating this site!

Basically Im trying to find the best company or should i say most reputable for completing a full 21 day CPO course to get my sia licence.
There are so many on the internet that I am not sure which to choose from!

So any help would be great

Thank You

It totally depends on the Arena you are looking to enter.

If you are looking to work overseas on Psd work then there are some VERY good training organisations- but also some dire 'paintball and cam cream' fanatics.

If you are looking to be UK specific- theres less of a choice.
I would say 90% of the work is in London as are 85% of the clients. Id recommend train where you work and its the less 'miltarised' courses that are best here. Theres only about 6 courses based in London and of those one is very good at publicity but appalling at paying his instructors- therefore no continuity.

In open forum Im not going to recommend anyone. Nor do i believe that poor trainers intend to deliver poor courses but at present there are dozens in this bracket. PM me if you want my recomendations-for what they are worth.

Big isnt always beautiful and 22 years in an organisation everyones heard of but no update courses means you are teaching out of date protocols. Whats good in Iraq isnt on the streets of London (yet!). Theres a Police and a Miltary in most countries doing similar tasks in different worlds. For a reason.

Here endeth the lesson

I hope it was of help

I took the Trojan Securities Psd course and it was top notch. Trojan and Goose CP are hooked up, so you can do PSD and weapons training in the US with Trojan and complete the sia licencing stuff with Goose in the UK. Some correct me if I am wrong, but I beleive that is what they have on the go.

And we also do what you are looking for, as a full 30 day package.

First Aid at Work
sia CP License course
Psd High Risk Operator Module
PSD/CP Live Fire Module.

Call us anytime, but we will never comment or slag off competition,so please do not ask us to comment on any other course.

The choice is yours alone and should be taken with due dillegence, reputation, content, value for money (that's NOT CHEAP, that's getting you monies worth). The after-course support, the remarks from previous students, what as happened since for them.
Best bet, call everyone on your short list, then choose from the ones your gut says are good.

Trust your gut feeling, it's always 95% correct, the other 5% we have SOP's for!

You're welcome, I think it boils don to proof is in the pudding, it's a lot of money to invest, regardless of how "well off" someone is, a few thousand £££'s is not short change.

When a company has to slag off someone else, shows a real lack of professionalism and integrity.

Forums such as this on, go a long way to help potential students choose their trainig provider, however, as most of our guys are working, they dont get chance to come on and rate the courses completed and their subsequent work offers.

We are asking our graduates at the moment, if they will allow their emails to be published on our testimonial page so potential students can contact the direct.

A lot of our lads return on current courses to talk to the students directly, face to face, whic also helps, but by the, the students have already chosen us, for onereasonor another, most of the time they tell us they made their choice becuase we're up front, no B.S and say it "as it is", such as the 21 year old lad the other day wanting the Psd Module, he was told clearly, that lower than 25, he aint going to Iraq/Stan, sia CP licensed or not............ yes, it peed on his strawberries for the day, but we're not into taking money and wasting it, just for the sake of filling seats.

Good On Ya PSD,

I agree with you wholeheartedly on all your points. Yes we are in business, yes some could say that we are all competitors.... but there is no need for anyone , nor is it professional for anyone to go around slating someone elses course, product or methods... as you rightly say, the proof of the pudding is there by the results delivered and by the reputation from former students and amongst employers.

We also run a similar policy towards U25s and we are also mindful of background and experience regarding training. For example it is pointless to train a man of 30, who worked in a non security related field for his life and woke one morning to decide he wanted to work PSD, I am glad to see that the pound signs havent knocked the scruples out of everyone in the industry .... just yet.

Good Luck
