Job Advert – Head of Security

An International Ngo is seeking a dynamic individual to be employed
as Head of Security for their operations in Iraq.

Our Client is an established NGO in Northern Iraq where they
currently have one office. They are about to expand their operation
and open a further two offices, another in the North and a second in
The Green Zone in Baghdad. Each office is run by an Iraqi Security
manager; these will report to the Head of Security.

The contract is expected to last for two years. The Client has
funding in place and requires the selected candidate to start in the
near future. The First Hostile Environment Course is programmed for
October.

The Head of Security will be based at their head office in Northern
Iraq.

Responsible to the clients chief of operations in Iraq for all
aspects of Security including:
Advice on Physical Security of all the Clients offices in Iraq
Preparation of Security Instructions and contingency Plans
Plan and supervise Local Guard Force Training
Monitoring movement of Clients Employees
Liaison with other PSC, NGO and Security Forces
Security Briefings
Plan, Run and manage A Hostile Environment training program for
Journalists

Skills:
Diplomacy
Self Starter and Self Reliant
Ability to work alone

Applicants with some or all of the following experience will be
considered:
Ex British Military
Experience of working in Iraq; Ideally both in Northern Iraq and
Baghdad
Experience of providing Security Advice to Media Crews in High Risk
Environment
Experience in management
Staff Trained and Experienced at conducting Security Reviews and
writing Contingency Plans
Experienced Instructor
Experienced at conducting Media Hostile Environment Training
