Close Protection Work

Hi , im new to Close Protection i have passed my course and just awaiting my licence im just wondering if any one knows of any jobs or any good companies to talk to. I have military background and done Iraq(2005) Afghan(2007) with 1 Royal Anglian. Thanks for any help. TIM101

alright mate im pretty much in the same boat as you being new to the CP world .... have you had any luck with finding any thing if so help us out tips and hints and some numbers please

hello mate havent had anything yet just been seaching the internet looking for jobs. spoke to a few mates and should be getting some other contacts from them if i have any luck i will let you know.

Hi lads i've only been in the game a short period of time but just to add to what your saying you need to get personal with these companies find out who do's there recruitment and ring them ask them if you can forward your cv to them. not saying sending your cv to these companies wont work but they get 100's of cv's everyday.

just a little pointer (you might already know) and apologies if you already know and am repeating...

1) Use the search engine and find post from username: ASE, Shakspear & Greyman who recently put out some top companies with email and telephone details, get hold of them if you can ......

2) Again Shakes and Devil had put some great information on CV and Cov letters, you guys might have already done your cv so great but its a good read aswell....

3) How CP industry work, Check out an article from Nomad, click on Security director on top of the page and then click on right corner article " A Beginner guide on Close Protection industry" Again a good read aswell...

4) Guys ... 8th Nov if you are free join us in London where official cpw meeting is happening where top cpo's and training providers are attending to give advise face to face and hear presentations, its free but £10 for a buffet so it be a good night to network.... if free please come...

As said before you guys might already know this info but I though just a reminder and if you do know then ignore my thread...

How long ago did you leave the "Vikings"?

Also like DH said read the previous threads, loads of company names for you to start getting into, also theres plenty of ex-vikings on the circuit, if you know them get in touch.

Found some Vikings already. Happy days! Can I ask which CP course people are doing these days? Is Task still well respected? I done my CP course 9 years ago I wont mention who with as I dont want a slatting on day one. Welcome Tim.
