Got an interview with Aegis re their Italian speaking CP position in Iraq next week and wanted to know if you guys have any advice.

Have any of you worked for Aegis? If so was it a positive experience?
How does the kit and salary compare to other companies out there.

Interview wise, aside from the obvious, what should I be prepared for?

Let me know.

Thx

Invictus,

Like a lot of other companies out here, you will hear really good things about them or really bad depending on who you speak to. The salaries compare favourably with the other companies, the kit is well up to standard, as are the vehicles and Comms. If you are successful and end up in Iraq, be prepared to run 2 miles in full kit with weapon and kevelar in under 22 minutes, if you fail, it is window or aisle seat on the plane home!!

As for the interview, I would expect a test on your ability to speak Italian!

Take care and regards,

Kenpsd

You may actually find that the 2 miler is not a requirement for this and other commercial contracts but seven P's and all that! Ditto kit, veh, comms all top notch basically the support of the entire Aegis Iraq infrastructure but separate from it, mates on the commercial side with Aegis have nothing but good to say about it which is why i am on the waiting list along with others no doubt! Good luck with the interview.

Hi Tix, couple of my mates work for them. Not on the PSDs but on the comms teams. Professional company with loads of experience, they've had some bad press in the past but i think that it was mainly from a disgruntled employee. One of the biggest firms out there who provide regional operations centres for other firms to have comms. They provide an information update on the security situation out there and they do some escort work. If you get in with them then your a lucky bloke, good luck. Sam
