Hi folks just after some info on the new Psd rifle, ive seen a documentry on sky,about a usa company lwc who have designed it, if ime right it takes a 7.62mm round as too the nato round,any one know any more details or tried one please let me know your thoughts ive emailed some friends in the usa, and they have heard of the psd but not used one,chears and stay safe ram out

Im not sure I understand you? are you refering to the BlackwaterUSA issued M4? they also have a SigSauer Pistol with BW logo on..
This has been around for a year or so a special designed but in basic a M4 carbine..

The LWRC Psd is a 6.8mm compact assault carbine very similiar to your standard pussers M4, same features and operation however with the 6.8mm round you are addressing the issue's and disadvantage of a lighter round such as the 5.56 NATO.

Looks and feels like a Diemarco or any of the compact bushmaster models. (Approx the size of an MP5 with the stock extended).

Ram, its already in service with some govt types and other entities, I doubt if it will be something that will be seen around soon, unless the contract stipulate an exact req then phasing in new kit is an extremely slow arduous process.

Ram Man have you seen the Magpul Masada ? Now being remarketed by Bushmaster. It is a truly modular assault weapon and you can remove and exchange the chamber section to allow it to fire either 5.56 or 7.62. It has a variety of barrel and stock parts as well. Personally I would forget all the m16/m4 based designs and go for something bullpup, especially if in a vehicle, for Psd work, you want something compact with the same range as a full sized rifle. Take the Tavor for instance;

Nephilim that would be a very handy weapon to have,as you can use the nato round for close up and clearing rooms ,just like the h&k mp5,but then for a contact situation have the bigger 7.62 round for more power,will check to see if ,ones around when ime next in country chears and stay safe ram out.

Oh and you were partly right about the LWRC carbines, but I think you misunderstood the documentary as they have developed a separate compact 7.62 gas-pistoned rifle which is called the; S.A.B.R (Sniper-Assaulter-Battle Rifle) - very similar to the HK417.
