The Career Transition Partnership is a partnership between the MOD and Rights Coutts Ltd intended to provide a resettlement service to eligible service leavers

Purpose of MOD's Resettlement Service
The primary purpose of the MOD's resettlement service is to help eligible personnel leaving the Armed Forces to make a successful transition to civilian employment in a suitable second career, which is appropriate to their skills, knowledge and experience and/or in accord with their aspirations.

About the Career Transition Partnership
To enable this, MOD has entered into a partnership agreement with Right Management, who are global career development and outplacement specialists. The Career Transition Partnership (CTP) was formed in 1998 and the contract renewed for a further 10 years in 2005.

The CTP incorporates nine Regional Resettlement Centres (RRCs) in the UK, one in Germany and one in Nepal. The Resettlement Training Centre (RTC) id based in Aldershot. All offices are linked to a central database of service leavers, employers and jobs.

CTP staff understand the military way of life and the challenges facing people making the transition to civilian life.

Although primarily focussed on helping service leavers to find suitable employment in a second career, the service also includes preparations for civilian life for those who do not wish to find employment (e.g. those planning to retire or those seeking full time education).

Support is available from two years prior to discharge and up until two years after discharge.

The CTP administers a high quality, no cost recruitment service for employers seeking the best. This includes an online vacancy database, employment fairs around the UK, and a team of employment consultants are available to advise and assist with employer's recruitment needs.
