Task are one of the original training providers, however, going back a few years it lost a number of its instructors, including its CI, these were people with a reputation and that goes a long way to establishing a particular course. The company trades on its connections to govt and overseas contracts, which it has established over the years, but CP has evolved. Continue to do your own research/networking, i'm sure some in the forum have done that course and will provide more upto date information.

I have also heard bad things about task. I am hearing nothing but praise for Longmoor Group where I am in London. I know a guy who did the course and thought it was great. It is run by 2 ex Royal Military Policemen and a guy from the civvy police. Most companies look now at the training provider rather than the just the Lic. I would advise a look at them........

Hello CP291 and welcome to the forum mucker,

I've not had a chance to introduce myself as things at the forum have became hectic. The forum sucess has knocked us all here on the team for six.

There is alot of expereince within these threads and you will do well to have a good read around.

All i say is keep your wits about you. Yes take advice and ask questions and CO19 is one of our senior members and has nearly 200 posts and is very knowledgable and respected within our forum.

But please do ensure you research all the companies and find out for yourself. (This is infact probably something you should be doing anyway if you want to succeed in this industry i.e. Kit-vehicle research and development/investigating/finding solutions/ solving problems/self help/always planning ahead and improving systems etc etc)

One of the best pieces of advice i've heard within the forum was from a lad called JR199 i think.........apologies if it wasnt you........but it was to phone the company and explain your situation. Ask then if they guarantee work? What are your chances of ever finding work upon completing the said course(after explaining to them your experience etc).

If they promise you the world and insist that this market is in fact not saturated and you are guaranteed to walk straight into employment then be aware they maybe bullshiting you. This is therfore usually a good indicator as to the honesty and integrity of the organisation.

But please research. There is a forum on this site which has alot of Trg companies details listed. There are instructors/MD's waiting to answer ay questions you may have within the listed companies.

Good luck and keep your ears to the ground and do your homework.

PS If you have any burning questions then why not PM people within the forum. They will be glad to help

CM

I can concur with CO19 on that about the Ronin course, and anyone worth his sia licence will tell you how good the medical package is. I will not give the game away to those who are thinking of going and doing it but as courses go, it is all rolled into one with no modular firearms after. Once you have completed it get your CV banged into the the big names, ie:
1) Greymans
2) Quest (Pm me about this one as it is old school boys network)
3) Inkermans
4) CRG
5) Aegis
6) Amicus Mentor

I have deliberately not mentioned the hostile guys as they are Ok if you want low wages and high risk. A Ronin graduate can do better and probably will.....and no I'm not, I did Phoenix
