Guys
Iam back home and is aming to start setting up my courses again.
Before I was instructor for a huge organisation but have resigned.
I still do some courses such as

Defensive driving in Saudiarabia

Tactical firearms (pistol)

And Iam rebuilding close protection and medic courses all over again but this time within my own company.
Iam therefore much interested to hear about certifications such as:

*HSE approved medical training how, and where to obtain this?

* SIA Cp licens to train, whats the requirements to have a course outside of UK to be SIA approved?

*Also is there any USA certification for close protection?
Does anyone know? and if where and how to get this?

Since I have sometime now in setting training up again untill Iam waiting for a possible extention of a contract in Iraq..I need assistance in how thease certification works?

Looking forward to hear from you

All the best,
Hawk

Hi Hawk

Glad you are back safe. I have attached a couple of files to help. If I remember rightly you need an operational acredited training base in the UK to be allowed to train offshore. That was early last year and there may have been some changes since so check current regulations.

I have also PMed you my email address as I also have the

Centre Guide Delivering International Qualifications Edition 211.pdf

but it is too large to attach on this site (3.11Mb).

Hope that helps.

Hi Hawk

We are trying at present to gain the same accreditation. The USA does not have any standard SIA type course and as such as long as the training covers the core compatency and a reasonable amount of hours instruction it should be acceptable. We are in the process of agreeing a cirruculum with a number of the US employers that will suffice to their requirments. Bit of a bummer as they often have their own schools attached.
As for the SIA our biggest problem is having our medical certs confirmed as acceptable ... seems near on impossible even though our medical examiner is a surgeon and director of training at the medical institute here in serbia.

Hi Nomad, I've increased the attachment limit to 5MB so you should be able to upload the doc you mentioned!

Cheers

Thanks Mally but I still can't upload that file. For some reason the site responds very slow even though I have a 1.7Mbs connection. Seems the upload manager times out before the file is completely sent.
