CTR Services

Hi Guys and Gals,

First post so please be gentle. Can anyone tell me if CTR Services has a good reputation when it comes to their training etc...

I am very limited to the companies that I can choose from because of a tight diary, but really want to get the CP course done in June.

CTR Services and Task Int. fit my criteria, but I haven't heard great things about the latter and in the same token, haven't even heard of CTR Services.

Can anyone advise?

Hi,

I completed my training in April with CTR and i found them to be very professional, the instructors were great and the course very comprehensive.
Hope this helps but be prepared to work hard n long hours.

Hi there

Didnt do my course with them but some of the lads did and said it was a very good course. Bit on the steep on the price side but hey look at it one way they have all got work so that speaks for it's self.

Hello there,

I did my course with CTR in 2006 and found it to be very well run, and would recommend it. You may even get the chance of some work with them after completion of the course, but don't hold me to that.

One thing that I am concerned about with regards to CTR Services is that they don't provide the First Aid at work qualification and can't recommend any training provider that might.

Can anyone suggest a cheap but effective solution?

Hiya why dont you try your local college or British Red Cross .

St Johns Ambulance. Hit their internet site and all the courses are there. Cheap as well and will give you your 4 day FAW qual. Some companies charge double and nearly triple this claiming it's 'Hostile Environment First Aid' or 'Cp Operator' First Aid'..... at the end of the day most of them give you the same qualification as St Johns etc....
If you want to do mopre advance stuff save your money and go on Ex-meds MIRA or one of the other good courses around.
