PPA-International have two slots for our BATLS course that we offer for a
special price. These three days Battlefield Advanced Trauma Life Support
course is an internationally recognized course, which is based on the
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course for physicians and follows the
protocols developed by the BATLS Committee.

Aim of the Course:
Battlefield Advanced Trauma Life Support (Incorporating Battlefield
Resuscitation Techniques and skills):

The aim of the course is to ensure a minimum standard of trauma training
to sustain life and limb based upon the principles of ATLS through all
Roles of Medical Care in an operational role, and during peacetime duties.

The BATLS course also provides you with Live Fire Training to give
students who uses his weapon in a tactical environment a broader knowledge
of different tactics that can be implemented during an initial contact
phase in high-risk environment. These skills have been developed over the
years and have proven to be successful in contact.

This course is a must for anyone who works in a place where you might be
dealing with multi trauma patients. Needless to say, this course is
especially useful for close protection/PSD operatives who could be dealing
with multi trauma in their line of work.

Certificates:
Students who successfully pass this course will be given an
internationally recognized BATLS Trauma certificate.

Evaluation / Grading:
To be able to enter this course students must have an Advanced First Aid
certificate.

The Next course is run from the 20 to 22 June 2008 in Copenhagen Denmark.
The special price for this three days course is EUR450.- and includes the
BATLS manual and equipment.

PPA-International will of course be more that happy to assist you in
finding suitable accommodation.
