hi guy's my name's stuart , i am currently on Ronin SA course , due to finish in a couple of weeks , Im looking at getting my foot in the door in Iraq or afghan (middle east) . i don't mind convoy work but wouldn't like to fill dead men's shoe's. been looking around and it seems that every1 steers clear for obvious reasons,

Any tips on what company's i should approach for work seeing as im only 22 and ive heard most companies dont touch you until you're 25

mate. i did ronin sa and stayed behind here to work in cape town whilst applying for the ME. my major mistake and i mean major was sending over 200 copies of my CV to companies from an ip address in s. africa..!!

a lot of the bigger companies have anti spam and filters on their emails and as it turns out most of my efforts were instantly deleted...!! what a disappointment!!

i mailed my cv to a mate at home and he used my email address from the UK. I got an interview immediately and am deploying on monday.

just a tip...!

I,ll be honest mate, you are going to find it extremely difficult getting any type of employment in the UK or abroad. Ronin or not.

It might be worth exploring a company like Elle Security in the UK...The work isnt glamorous, but the pay beats most Iraqi contracts now. Im not an expert on the company, but im sure others are and would be able to steer you in the right direction....

Ive did Ronin in 2004...Since then i have worked in Iraq, North Africa, Suadi Arabia, all over Europe and of course the UK..I am lucky enough to have a best friend who does the recruiting for one of the largest PMC,s..Ive been pretty lucky with work also and not had too many months without it...

But on that note, i am now training to be a mortgage advisor..Why?? Because there just isnt enough work to sustain everyone who wants to do this type of work...No Security in Security..

Most companies will not touch you if you are thinking hostile environment, as their insurance does not cover people under 25.
