Regarding the couple of questions mate,

It is not necessary to be an existing CPO (would be an advantage), reason being that most qualified CPOs through sia courses have not trained for armed roles and the techniques will be instructed.
I would point out that this in no way will qualify anyone to be a CPO who is not already qualified.
It is designed to add the relevant drills involved in armed PPO/ BG roles.

Same for the 7 day course. All instruction is included and it is therefore unnecessary to be an existing CPO.
