I know a couple of guys who have done training with BW at their facility and they have all said it was first rate, quite intense and hard work but very enjoyable, they were also offered jobs afterwards, but I am not saying go and pay 20 grand to get a job with them, theres a company in the UK that does that already for 1800 quid.

On a serious note though..... i have never heard of any training facility in the UK that does any type of course or training that lasts for 2 full months or even close to that, although i suppose if you did cpo and then hepco and possibly Surveillance and some firearms in one place straight after each other you'd be getting close to 2 months maybe

How recocnised is their training by coy's in the US and UK?
Will they accept training from Blackwater as most coy's doing their own courses?Thats the question imposed when i think about doing a course there.

Markus BW is a fairly huge and well recognised company especially within the US, and i think to be fair that most employers within the UK within the industry will have heard of them and recognise their training as being rather good.

It is a problem with many companies who have in-house training that they state they will only take those who have completed their particular training, and as much as this ay be a little frustrating to those who haven't trained with them, if they train you they know exactly what standard you have been taught to, and there are unscrupulous training providers out there who maybe do not train to a standard that they require from their employees.

But i really can't see many employers within the industry scratching their heads and saying 'hmmmmm never heard of BW before' .... and if they do quite frankly i'd not really want to work for the anyhow

I cringe when I say this but-

I have an in at - and have used- BW and the quoted price is to scare of the 'walters'.

They will take Brits but You have to have a credible background to begin with no civs Im afraid, Mil, Pol etc and no 18 year old combat and survival readers!

'A' company in the UK uses the BW Facility for its HECPO course.

RMPUSA is on a distinguished road
You don’t need to be a US citizen to train there, but to work* for them you do.
However, if you are from a country which they do not associate with then they will not train you either.
Like many PMC’s, BW will design a course for you if you have the funds, and this is one thing they do quite often for Govt’s, corporations and private citizens.

*now this is also open to their interpretation, if they decide (for some reason), they don’t like you, then you don’t stand a chance getting onto a contract, and most likely will be told its because your not a US citizen.

Getting through their HR sifting process is no easy matter, because when SF types leave the US mil for the private sector, BW is the first place they go to for work, and the US mil has a retention problem just like the UK.
The best way to get on a contract there (without being a US citizen, or attending a training course), is to know someone who works for BW fulltime, and someone high up in the Coy, and that’s no easy task either. There directors are very private individuals, and rightly so.

They send most of there contract employees to Ft Benning in Columbus Georgia, for PDT assessments. For those who don’t know Ft Benning is a huge US military base, and BW peeps are all over it. Its like a training ground for another ‘Bay of pigs’ scenario.

There is no company that I know of that can offer the course BW dose, on the scale it dose.
They have land, air and sea training capabilities, all on their own turf, and in fact are purchasing light attack/bomber aircraft from the Brazilian Govt, so they can provide CAS to there ground assets….Nice!

Finally the best advice I can give about BW and its ethos, is the men and women there are true professionals, and committed to what they do. To us Brits they might seem a tad fanatical, but they are not called the militant wing of the Republican party of nothing.
I personally like them, they have a drive and focus (and funding), which is unmatched by any other PMC.

PS.

They like Brits…
