Rural and Survival Combat Course

S.T.I.N.G Protection is presenting a Rural and Survival Combat
course. The course will be presented in South Africa, Drakensberg
district.

The course will comprise of the following:

• Survival Actions
  Survival Planning and Survival Kits
  Shelters and Shelter selection
  Field Weapons
  Emergency Navigation
  Survival movements in Hostile Areas
  Camouflage
  Intelligence
  Tracking Techniques
  Tactical Movements and Marches
  Combat Patrols
  Types of Patrols
  Battle Drills
  Patrol Attacks
  MediVac
  Chopper Drills

The course duration is 10 days which comprises out of Theory and
Practical. Students will be required to complete both theory and
practical to complete the course.
Practical will include night marches and drills, 48 sleep deprivation,
24 hour march, Tactical Combat Rural area, Tactical Approach and
contact drills.

Cost: €2 100-00

Includes transfere from airport to training facility, accomodation and food.

Absolutely no offence intended mate and there are some good skills on offer with this course but I cannot see quite how it relates to any of the forums on here. 48 hour sleep deprivation?, I prefer the reverse, 48 hours of sleep. 24 hour march? I couldn't march for 24 hours if I was in a car! Still no doubt there will be some folks who will see a use for it. Fair play to you

Hi, just would like to clarify that this has been a private request from members on security, Psd and bodyguard forums..
I belive a group have asked for a private course and that their is various instructos such as military snipers, emergency police members and instructors with psd, convoy experiences in the hot zones.

I do have some insight to this request, and I think its just a few students missing and thats why the advert for this came up..

You make some fair points Hawk, and nobody is trying to 'diss' any one, but I have to point out that here on this forum there are people with little or no experience in the Security Industry who will see this and make a spurious connection between this post and what Psd and Convoy Operators actually do on the ground. I cannot honestly see any thing on that programme which would be of any use to a PSD Operator even in a very 'hot zone' and I know cause I have done most of them!

In a nutshell mate, there are enough Walts in here without adding to them! We can all, if we want throw instructors with sniper, emergency police and PSD, Convoy experience in 'Hot Zones' into the mix on here but at the end of the day....it gets dark...and in the case of this course, the darkness looks like it could go on for some time!

Hawk, sorry matey, I cannot see ANYONE who is serious about working in the CP business, wether Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, South America or any other place on this earth requesting a course that involves 48hr sleep dep, 24hr route march......... i'll be as polite as I can..... what a load of bollox.... unless of course you're "high speed-low drag" merc T shirt wearing kinda fella who has a few sentences to refer to when communicaing with their "bro's" between bouts on their X-Box and college classes..........

Ken, youre very right
I dont see that this has anything to do with our profession either, but its a request by a private group with various experiences from hostile work.
And they pay for having this course, so it will be some instructors working sharing there experiences and the students will also get what they specificly ask for.
Alot of things will be good in that respect consirning the training other stuff is I belive more for fun..since there is several guys actually working in the hostile environments and not any newcomers to the industry.

But I share the same thoughts as you.
However if they would like my services and skills for highrisk entrance, room searches medical training etc..
Its just work for me..
