Just to let you know that our next sia CPO course dates are from Monday 15th - Sunday 28th September.

As always, we are happy to drop the price for CPW members from £1,495.00 + VAT to £1,295.00 + VAT, and that comes down to £1,195.00 + VAT per person if you bring someone else with you.

As you probably know by now, we run the course out of our training centre in London, and the price is without accommodation. Most people are either based in London or stay over with a mate and come in each morning. We have good basic B&B's just round the corner if required.

Meido Consultants close protection officer (sia CPO) Training Programme

With so many CP courses on the market, I thought that it might be useful to explain exactly what our sia CPO course is about, and what it is we try and achieve with all of the participants who take part in it.

As well as being a well-established training company, Meido is a fully operational security consultancy specialising in corporate and international executive security. Our clients include global brands who require security support either for one-off situations or on a more permanent basis. As well as looking after senior international executives across the world, we have also managed large-scale international events as well as emergency response programmes involving country evacuations in war-zone conditions.

Personally, as well as running Meido Consultants I am involved as a lecturer and dissertation supervisor on the Leicester University MSc programme in both Security & Risk Management and Global Security & Policing, and I am an adviser on corporate security policy to a number of professional organisations both in the UK and overseas.

As a company that has been involved in security training in the UK since 1992, and has been running professional CP training programmes since 1998, Meido is well known within the corporate security world for running high-level professional courses and for developing skilled Team Leaders and corporate security managers.

We work to the 'Quality not quantity' ethos. In recent months our CP course has become more popular due to more people wanting to work in the corporate sector. We know that the training is not cheap, and that this course is as much an investment in time and commitment as it is of money, so we work hard to ensure that the people on the course are looking for the skills that we offer and that this is the right course for you. We will happily tell you if we think it is not and will even point you in the direction of courses we think would better meet your needs. We limit the number of people who attend our courses, so that everyone who does come on them has all the opportunity they need to ask questions and to gain the maximum benefit from the time that they spend with us. We extend this ethos to all the courses we run.

Our CP courses are run from our own training centre in North-west London, and they are usually run over fourteen days (two weeks). Our costs are kept low as we have low overheads and the course is non-residential. If London is too far, we are happy to work with you to arrange courses around the country.

Once you have completed our course our door will always be open to assist you on your chosen security career paths. We have maintained contact with many of the people who have been through our sia CPO courses (over three hundred and fifty participants so far), so have a live network that we are happy to introduce you to.

We also run courses in Close Protection, First Aid, Fire Arms (Sweden), Security & Anti-Hijacking Driving, Overseas Operational Security Management. All of these programmes are run to the same level of professionalism and commitment as our CP courses.

Hi Everyone

If you are looking for a two week course to improve on your teamleader abilities then Meido is right up your street. I completed the course in July and know several other people that have either been on the course or are about to take the course, the feedback from those who have is good.

Ideally place in London, the office is right on the doorstep of the tube, you participate in several exercises including walking drill and also surveillance. If you're close to London, know someone who has a place to stay or just fancy B&B for the two weeks then give David a call and book on.

You are a well informed individual who has much in the way of information and guidance that could benefit new starters.
I take on board your comments about your financial situation.
I recommend a mutual drawing a line in the sand exercise- as proffesionals who to be frank have better things to do than childishly fence with each other.
