You better learn Spanish. Russian is a very complicated language plus you can't work in Russia. All security staff must have a Russian citizenship. It also won't be very useful in UK because most of russians can speak English. If I am wrong, please, let me who recruit in UK CPO's with knowledge of Russian language.

i really doubt that russian is complicated , it is one of the easiest languages in the world ofcourse if you mean slang such as bratki, menty, musara or lets say,em... i dont know really but anyways if you mean slangm, then yea,you are right but basically its extremely easy to learn just in a year you may have very high level of russian.

Besides it doesnt matter ho you are russian or brit. If you are good you will get the job.

Leituvis, I think a lot of people are like myself mate. Scared of a different alphabet. Russian, Thai, Arabic, Mandarin are just a bit daunting. Similarities between English and Spanish probably make it an easier (or easier looking) option.

M4MED will become famous soon enoughM4MED will become famous soon enough
Not only will having a language show ongoing development but it'll open up far more work. From my experience, most people in Europe speak English and are happy to. Arabic is difficult, with many dialects, although it would be worth it's weight in gold if you could crack it.
Obviously the first language of the world is english, with chinese being the second (only by the number of people who speak it not by geo coverage) and the third being Spanish.
Spanish would obviously serve you well in Spain, where there are many opportunities opening up, along with parts of the USA, all of central (bar Belize) and most of South America and I believe parts of Asia understand Spanish (Philipines).
I work out in Latin America and there are loads of opportunities for spanish speakers with good cv's, from training, project management, CP etc but despite great cv's, blokes are being turned away due to a lack of language skills.
Mexico - kidnap capital of the world. Like the rest of Latin America, people are kidnapped for their money. The thing that sets it apart from the rest of of Latin America is they have the money to pay for good security.

Entonces, si usted quiere aprender Espanol....... CDs are OK but you can't beat a bit of local interaction. Get down to Kings Cross and find a spanish speaking girlfriend.

Good luck and stay safe

Sorry mate, but you are wrong. You won't get a Russian licence if you are not a citizen of Russia. As you know Security Officers are armed there.
Статьей 11.1 Федерального закона РФ «О частной детективной и охранной деятельности в Российской Федерации» №2487-1 от 11.03.1992 года
не вправе претендовать на приобретение правового статуса частного охранника лица:

Thx for the link. Well that was told by LAW firm which opens companys for foreighners. And basically you CAN be CPO in any country if you wont be in it too long and you wont have big mouth...
Basically just think logically , anyone can own security company but he cant work? What a?

But at the moment i agree, LAW is LAW, but theres another question ho cares about law in russia ?

No seriously knew number of guys working there and had info from russia based law company about establishing branch...

I think there could be sub-divisions or exceptions.. Not aware of that. Maybe they just worked illegal as most of us when travelling?

And once again thx for the usefull,i mean very usefull link
