Hi guys... I have several questions. Hopefully some of you can help me out.
A little about me: I'm 26. I have lived in China and Thailand. I speak fluent Mandarin, and conversational Thai and Spanish. Passable Korean as well, although conversation breaks down beyond survival / day to day topics. I don't have the military experience to do high-risk work, but I learn quickly, am quite "street wise" and feel I would be well suited to do: a) corporate or residential security b) anti-counterfeiting operations / property theft investigations c) Surveillance / intelligence work My questions are: 1. Are there schools that cater more to the corporate security, intelligence, surveillance or investigations market? 2. Are there CP schools that offer job placement assistance for competent students that exceed expectations in class, even without a military background? 3. Would I be better served by getting military experience first? With stop loss, I would hit the market at 31-33. Seems late to break into a new career. Is coming to the party late with military experience better than having a go now with only language skills, my wits and a good attitude? Any advice is much appreciated. |

Try these for the fraud investigations question Association of Certified Fraud Examiners , as for the question regarding the employment after passing the CP course check out a few threads on here. Not many would offer you after the course unless you really stood out. Always be careful if they ask you for recruitment fees or promise work if you work for free. If you have enough time on your hands check out the university of leicester they runa top notch MSC in security and risk management that is recognised worldwide.
