HE work?!! erm..... that would be us then!!
Every instructor we use is current, fresh from HE (and i dont mean just Iraq and Afghan) still working the HE circuit, widely respected by employers as trainers and operators. Next HECPO/PSD course starts 24th September 1795 GBP all in ex flights to Serbia at around 50-70GBP return. Its full on and strictly pass or fail.......... we do not have a 100% pass rate!!! We do not want any of us or anyone else working with someone we trained who is not up to the task...... that gets people killed!! World ranked (top ten) combat pistol competitor as an instructor!!!! Tenth Dan Worldwide Hall of Famer as a jap slapping instructor!!! All verifiable.....!! If anyone is truly serious about doing this...... call on 00381 21 526672 or mail marcus@morrigansolutions.org

Hi Morrigan,
Just as a matter of interest, what kind of Jap slapping does your guy instruct in? I'm a big fan of jap slapping, been into it since I was a kid, however, I've seen some absolute shite taught on courses (Not that I'm saying your methods are shite! You're rep speaks for itself) and it really annoys me. I did years of Kickboxing and found out, in spectacular style, that it is complete pants when it comes to being usefull in a real life confrontation, I got my head kicked in and found that roundhouse kicks to the head belong in the realms of fantasy fighting (unless you're Chuck Norris, all hail Chuck) I was young though and learned from it! I trained in Israel in KM and learned a bit of WWII style jap slapping a few years ago, it's nice and simple and doesn't get forgotten in a scrap as it's nice and simple. I've been on a course where some of the skills are just for the dojo, and really shouldn't be taught as a realistic form of self defence. It's a different ball game if you're having a ruck on a city street (Even with a principle, it's unlikely to be a life or death struggle) and only need to drop someone momentarily to give enough time to get out of the situation, but when it comes to HE, then it's a different matter entirely, if Jap Slapping comes into play then, it means you're already in the s**t in a big way, you're likely to be out of ammo (otherwise you'd just shoot the baddie), tired, scared (if you're not then you're lying), you'll be wearing body armour, carrying kit, hot sweaty maybe wounded or with wounded mates to look after etc. To many times I've seen training in which two opponents face each other and practice the moves, in reality, fights rarely happen face to face at a nice arms reach type of distance in comfortable environments, and we should train as such, wear the kit, do a shed load of PT, fight against multiple opponents in the heat, sorry if I'm going on a bit here, maybe I should have posted this in the "Are we training correctly?" thread, or maybe I should lay off the caffeine for awhile! Hi Heno (and other interested parties)
We are talking about 2 hours each morning, task specific training in dissarming techniques, restraint, and self defense....... not high kicking, breeze block breaking, fire hoop jumping Jackie Chan stuff. Instructor is one Ljubomir Vracarenovic, art is Real Aikido. Ljubomir is a tenth Dan Grand Master and 3 times Hall of Famer. Best regards all morrigan

It might be interesting to note Heno that I agree with you completely with reference to the Jackie Chan type of crap that many are teaching.
Tis true that if the conflict comes to hand to hand in the likes of Iraq or Asscrack then things are rather keek to say the least. However , there are many regions deemed as HE outside of the two mentioned where it is not always an armed role. For this instance it is in my opinion essential for the HE operator to have a knowlege of some potentially life saving techniques. Lubomir has trained some very high profile CP teams including that of Vladimir Putin and his techniques are achieveable , too the point , designed to quickly overcome and most importantly dont include anything which necesitates putting your leg into gymnastics positions (in other words can be done in suit or normal clothing) Hope this answers your question accordingly. At the very least if you are out of ammo and deep in the crap, fighting back with your hands, elbows knees and feet, you might be in a position to get the bad guys to 'slot' you with a firearm rather than sticking you in an orange boiler suit and giving you a really serious 'short back and sides'!

Thanks Mickworldwide,
If it were me in that situation then I echo Kenpsd's comment, better to get them to slot you then go through the alternatives. I've seen many "martial artists" have their arse handed to them by a no nothing numpty without a single days training, but what they did have in abundance was aggression and no fear of any consequences, I firmly believe that learning even just a few simple strikes is enough to make somebody very dangerous so long as the correct mental attitude is also instilled, when it comes to a ruck, the brain can only process gross motor movements so the Jackie Chan stuff is forgotten anyway. I had tried to raise this point on a course, we were training in tracksuits, on nice thick mats wearing lots of protection and trying some realy fancy, cool looking, but ultimately useless techniques, when we should have been training in boots, outside at the end of a long day wearing full kit against multiple opponents and being attacked from all different angles instead of a face to face fight where 2 opponents calmly walk up to each other and one of them allows the other to reach out and grasp his opponents wrist before doing a real cool move! It needs to be kept real! Heno |
