Sexton Executive Security will hold their first Executive Protection training program in the U.A.E. (in and outside of Dubai), which will run from the 11th - 19th of October, 2008.

The course is aimed at those who either work with Middle Eastern Royal Families/Arab Businessmen or who are looking to secure work with these clients. Training topics are extensive and will include (at a minimum) the following; Threat Assessments and Threat Mitigation, Advances, International Details, Intel Gathering, Surveillance, Terrorism Awareness, Walking Formations, Attacks on Principal, Evasive Driving, CV Writing and Submissions, Networking, Middle Eastern Culture, Traditions and Religion, etc.

Instructors and lecturers have a broad range of backgrounds including; Commanding S.W.A.T. Units, Dedicated Police Trainers certified in Hostage Negotiation, Firearms Training, etc., Senior Foreign Affairs, members of the Royal Family, United Nations Field Service Personnel, Anti-Terrorism Units, Business Owners and Embassy RSO.

The course will include multiple protective scenarios and constant real life situations and advice ranging from weapons and holster choices to expedited country entry and departure routines. Graduates will not automatically qualify for assignments as that greatly depends on the individual concerned and how they performed throughout training. SEXTON does guarantee however, to hire the most highly qualified form each class for details arising within the Middle East or travelling to other locations where graduates are licensed to operate.

Tuition is $4500.00 (approx. Sterling 2500.00) for the 90+ hour E.P. course and includes pick-up and drop off from Dubai International airport, 8 night stay at the Hilton Hotel with private beach access, all meals, one free day (to site see/spend on beach, study for final exam, etc.), all class room materials, and transport to traning locations. CPW members are entitled to a 10% discount. If you wish to arrive earlier or stay later, you can save money on the hotel if you book it through our corporate account before hand. October is High Tourist season and rates are quite steep.

The three day tactical firearms course will be held from the 19th - 21st of October. Attendees will be able to fire rifle, shotgun, H&K and Beretta 9mm semi-automatics. We will have an outdoor range to ourselves and will be able to conduct customized shooting scenarios not allowed in many commercial ranges. The cost of the firearms course will be $1800 (approx. Sterling 1,000). Hotel stay, meals, firearms, ammo and a final dinner with draught Heinekin (yes we will be able to serve alcohol as we are corporate sponsors of a private club) will be included. Once again, CPW members will qualify for a 10% discount. Members can attend both courses or either one, as they see fit.

Whilst attending an International Conference in Canada last week, I was informed by some guys from the U.K. that the U.S. dollar is expected to rise against Sterling. Our prices will not change but if the dollar strengthens agains the Pound, the course will cost more to those coming form the U.K. We therefore advise registering and paying now. Furthermore, for those who make a down payment by the end of next week, we will guarantee that the price will be fixed, even if the Pound weakens.

We encourage female particpants to join the course as many Middle Eastern clients would prefer to have a female protecting their wives/daughters than a male. Therefore there will be many opportunities for female agents in the future.

Among the courses of fire which will be offered:

* Armed response to Assault on Principal (AOP) while on foot. Here the student will learn how to anticipate and prepare for-- and respond to-- an armed AOP. Scenarios will include AOPs while walking the principal, during rope-line work, "grip and grin" photo-ops, and while at the podium or on stage. Obviously, surgical shooting skills and shoot/ no-shoot targets will be emphasized during this phase of training, which also will focus on cover and evacuation drills, including low-light.

* Armed response to AOP during arrival. In this block of training the student will learn how to respond to an AOP immediately upon arrival, before the principal has exited the vehicle. Training will then progress to AOPs while the principal is exiting the vehicle, and later to the walk from vehicle to venue entry. Students will learn how to determine under-fire the best evacuation route-- for example, back to the vehicle or into the venue's "safe room". Again surgical shooting skills and shooting while moving will be emphasized, as well and how-- and when-- to shoot from a moving vehicle.

* Armed response to an AOP during departure. Here the students will learn when, or if, to return fire during an AOP during departure, such as the case in the attempted Assassination and wounding of President Ronald Reagan. Students will make live-fire decisions when and where to return fire, how to cover and evacuate the principal, and safeguard their own survival. Shooting will involve close-in and distance accuracy, shooting and movement drills, and suppression fire while evacuating, both on foot and from a departing vehicle.

* Other skills and tactics also will be covered, including armed response to an AOP with an edged weapon, which will focus on holster types and immediate access to the weapon.

* Shooting and movement scenarios ("Shoot and scoot") which will teach one-man and team drills to avoid cross-fire or "friendly-fire" situations. The students will start with individual run-and-gun skills while protecting the principal, then progress to two-man, three-man and team scenarios.

* Students will be required to prove proficiency with a 48-round qualification course, which will feature distances of 1.5 to 25 yards.

Upon successful completion students will receive certificates for the course and for shooting qualifications.

Unconventional holsters/ platforms such as shoulder rigs, brief cases, small-of-back, cross-draw, ankle or "fanny packs" can be brought and used for "familiarization", and their unique applications and usefulness will be discussed. However, hip-area holsters will be required for qualification and all movement drills.

Seriously, There are ways to cut costs on everything from groceries to clothes, but you get what you pay for.

Jerry, I am not worried about the quality mate, but the sum off money is still very steep. Yes I understand you get what you pay for routine, but other courses on the market offer this with up to four weeks off training and they are also good courses. No bad feelings aimed at you here mate thanks for posting it as it gives us the chance to see what is on the market.

I know what you mean and sorry if I came off a little flip. I had a round of this in this the States recently and it turned into a bidding war. Can't help anybody when that happens. Personally, I have gotten very good training for practically nothing and crap for a fortune, so you never know.

Hi,
I found the price to be fair, since hotel and 8 days is included right?
Just any course for a 7-10 day course costs around 2000USD look at the prices on some 14 day courses? Yes I know accomodation is most covered but its not hotel standards...we manage to rent a nice old Manor to our courses and use the local restaurants or cheifs that make our dinner..

Are you running weapon courses in Dubai?
I wasnt even aware of that being possible..

If that is so please drom me a pm..since we do advance tactical pistol courses in Sweden, but need a partner in longrifle (AK) and would be interested..
Its all about the costs ofcourse..
