I have been through some training, at Top Counter Terrorism Training I am planning on attending more training courses, and schools. What is the best way to find a job in low or low medium risk areas of executive protection. I need to get a job for experience. Please help..

Well I am not military or police. Is it possible to become a bodyguard with just going through training? I am hoping to be hired by our police department very soon.

Conrad, you certainly jumped into the field by training for the most extreme situations imaginable. That being said, did you learn how to handle a corporate client attending a board meeting? A shopping trip for a high profile family? A press conference for a VIP?

I ask these things because you will find yourself much more marketable if you can diversify. The days of Rambo tactics are limited in our community. I know there will always be stories of extreme situations that have occurred and the super survival skills employed to defeat them. But you have to balance your training with practical experiences. Find a more moderate course of training. Consider the environment you wish to work in. If you think you'll end up in an extremely hostile area, take the para-military survival training. If you think you will end up in a suit working Manhattan, London, Amsterdam, etc., follow that route. How to defeat a Jihadist who is about to remove your head is probably an extreme training program (although not a bad tool to have on your belt I suppose).

I guess I'm saying keep your training resume basic and you will find yourself more employable.

Jerry
