This subject enrages me!

Why is this such a difficult decision for our Government? These guys and their families deserve citizenship in this country!

I whole heartedly agree with you CM. Some of the best blokes I've worked with and the most generous too (they can cook to boot) but.....

I can't remember if it was from this forum but isn't there an argument to say that if all the Gurkha soldiers and their families are given citezenship it will effectively ruin their local economies back home?

Just the flip side of the subject but I would rather see these guys have the chance rather than the illegal imigrants getting away with murder.

Wish i could the whole episode is a complete joke! It makes me sick to the core the way these lads have been treated! And when you look at some of the scumbags this country embraces and lets in with open arms. I could go on but i feel myself getting rather worked up so i shall have a cup of camomile tea and bid you all goodnight.

No apology required CM, It boils my blood too! In fact it should outrage all British citizens. Was on the news again last night showing the wounded Falklands veteran living in a single room in Nepal with his whole family. His application for residency in the UK has just been refused for the SECOND time!!!! Makes me F#*king livid!

I agree with the sentiments expressed, am totally disgusted with the way they have been treated. When you consider how much rubbish is let into this country via the open border policy it just flys in the face of good sense.
I've served with the Ghurka's & a more fierce or finer fighting man you just will not find. My late grandfather spoke of them with awe having fought with them during the war, I share his views.
The only positive to this is that the present government is going to suffer very badly at the next election & this will be one of the many major reasons why.
They may have come in on a landslide vote they'll certainly go out the same way.

but isnt the way this whole situation has been handled by the government indicative of life in general these days - those who are the most deserving have to prove themselves over and over again fight just to get what they deserve.

To me this smack of nothing more than racial descrimination cold to the core.

It boils my p##s that in this day and age this is happening; and for such a suposedly PC government to be acting like this.

But when you look at the farce that is MP expenses, the cash for honnors debarcle, the increasing strangle on rural resources, the numerous pi#s poor "crimes" concerning lost and stolen data.......etc etc are we surprised at this inaction and BS?

Its wrong, and it aughtto be changed without question.
