Our Aim is to introduce Ied operators and commanders to a range of overt and covert techniques used in the rapid assessment and neutralization of hostage and access denial devices, during hostage rescue and counter-suicide bomber operations.

• Helicopter Drills
• Considerations for the Preparation and Modification of IedD Kit for Assault IEDD operations
• Introduction to multi-switched and complex Ieds, including hostage and suicide-type devices.
• Device Marking Techniques during Assault IedD Operations
• Assault IedD Operator search techniques (in light and dark conditions)
• Radiography considerations for Assault IedD operations
• Introduction to Hostage Bombs and Suicide Devices
• Introduction to Devices that Pose Imminent Risks To Life
• Legal Issues regarding the Use of Deadly Force and Racial Profiling
• Pre-Attack Countermeasures, Issues and Responses
• Suicide Ied Effects: Introduction to Air Blast and Post-Blast Pathology
• Case studies: Terrorist use of Ieds and suicide devices during hostage barricade terrorism incidents

Day Two

• Assault IedD operations in buildings
• Assault IedD operations in Ships (underway and at anchor)
• Assault IedD operations in Offshore Energy Installations
• Assault IedD operations in caves and tunnels
• Assault IedD operations in trains and the underground
• Assault IedD operations on aircraft
• Assault IedD operations on buses and large vehicles
• Assault IedD operations against terrorists in cars
• Assault IedD operations against terrorists on foot
• Stealthy neutralisation techniques
• The use of subterfuge in dynamic interdiction operations
• Introduction to Critical failure points
• Introduction to special weapons and equipment used in Assault IedD Operations
• Counter-measures deployment and considerations
• Command and Control of an Assault IedD Operation

Terminal Learning Objective:
At the conclusion of this course, delegates will be able to advise on the defeat of hostage, suicide and access denial devices during the full spectrum of land-based, aviation and maritime interdiction incidents.
When criminals and terrorists do succeed in their objectives the most critical period for the victims can be the time taken to respond, take control and restore normality to the scene. This is especially the case where incidents have increasing economic as well as national impact on the organisations involved. watch this Space, I am at the moment talking with Ronnie Arnold and Jay Johnston, you have heard me talk about these guys before. I look at Jay as a walking CP oracle who has taught and rewrote the CP / Psd manual for Crucible, He will has offered to Guest talk on one of my UK courses. im very excited about that possibility.
Ronnie has expressed that he would like to talk about Cross training US and UK students in both disciplines, yet again taking the current techniques and bounds of CP further, anyway thanks for the comments with Ref Chris yed i am pleased too.
