Depends on the employers mate, for AG, CRG and Aegis you have to complete the SC (security clearence) just the usual personal/family details dates of birth etc. If given this form by any company get it filled in asap and returned to them as they can only deploy people who have been cleared.
Not really done much on UK Circuit so can't answer there. |

dv clearence is a pain to go through and its only done for top end jobs usually for Goverment posts, you dont normally need it for rum of the mill HE jobs.
DV invloves people coming to your home address and grilling you everything on your life as well as a financial check etc. |

dv Clearance (Developed Vetting) is a top end clearence its for people who regually come into contact with very sensitive materials or people.
DV involes several interveiws with a DV Officer, who will ask a large amount of personal questions IE sexual preferance, affairs etc, its a very in depth process however if you tell the truth it doesnt really matter what you have done its basically incase anyone trys to blackmail you. This process can go on for a considerable length of time, all depends on your DV Officer. |

Can you pay for a dv vetting in order to beef up your CV?
I heard it was something like £2k to get this done privately? CM

I am not sure if that is possible Im back at work in a few days I will enquire for you and let you know, im no expert on dv but you have follow up interviews and have a duty to report anything that could make you vunerable to any kind of threat.
DV jobs are normally staffed by the Service Police CP teams although most on that team do not have DV clearance. SC (Security Clearance) is the next best thing which the vast majority of the Army dont even hold. |

Hi DPV 13K
All replies to your thread are right I am DVd and it took ages. They go into all aspects of your life. It is quite a surprise when they tell you about your finances. They came up with stuff I had completely forgotten. Not sure about getting it done outside Government circles but it is likely to cost. |

Hi TommyS, Not expecting to go through the hassle for Dv, to be fair have not got the time to sit around for 6 to 8 months waiting... i imagine it could be a shock when they digg into old ancient finances etc. I did find some supprising threads on the issue hence the reason for asking the question, many thanks
