Hi Alan.

Speak to Aegis, AEGIS - Private Security Company | Specialist Risk Management or try Minimal Risk, Minimal Risk Corporate Security specialist consultancy, project management, crisis response and recruitment services.

They both recruit Capt. and above for management roles in both "Sandy" or "Warm and wet" places.

Control Risks Group Control Risks | Home Page have vacancies for "..Risk Consultants..." in London, Mexico and Afghan.

Find the thread on here "New Vacancies" started by myself in the "Close Protection" forum and browse through...some of those positions may match your skill set.

For a UK role you will need a Security Industry Authority License and employers will insist on this if entering the Close Protection market. Many British companies insist on this even if working in Iraq and Afghan. You are required to do a sia approved CP course in order to obtain a license.

For a management role, qualifications such as PSS or CPP from ASIS ASIS International: Home Page would help enormously if you fancied the Oilfield Security Director type role. But, with your background I know of a company who are interviewing this weekend in London for 4 Security Management Experts. This job is in Qatar, tax free, villa, private schooling for children if required, etc and other benefits associated with a large firm. PM me if interested as the deadline for applications is about to pass.

I wish you all the best in your search.

Shakes

You also need to get your CV out there and just keep hassling people as the work aint going to just come to you. Try all the security Agencie sites. Also word and mouth people you may know in the business.

You asked for guidance and got it.

You have to loose the 'I was an officer know it all ' attitude.

Some big players monitor this site for recruitment and contact reasons- there cant be many captains in Irish 'SF' looking for work and even fewer who give away PerSec and personality traits in open forum.

A- you arent looking for work in the Army- play by the established rules
B- Have a look at yourself do you really know much about the environment you are going to? The jobs are unlike anything the 'Irish SF' could prepare you for . really.

Hope the real world doesnt bite you too hard

Most of the guys on this site have being trained to the same high standards by their respective governments also. The truth of it is that in the UK you need to jump through civvy training hoops ie SIA. You cant work for any security company in the uk, in any role without the relivent license. That also goes for CP work abroad if you work for UK company (i stand to be corrected)
I was trained in advanced trauma management by the UK MOD but still refresh my bog standard four day first aid at work ticket every three years.
If the bit of paper you need is only available through a civvy company then bite the bullet and get on with it.

Not even a mention of thanks even though you were given detailed information AND the possibilty of immediate work. You are obviously just a pretender "walt" and an ungrateful streak of monkey spu*k.

I wouldn't p*ss on you if you were on fire. SF? You mean SN? Special Needs? Arrogant, pompous, neuseating, spoilt, cocky, insolent, attention seeking little mummy's boy sh*te that you are.

You have been given free detailed advice from people who took the time to post and help you, then you return and throw your toys out of the pram just like an institutionalised silver spoon muppet.

Do your own research.

Oh, and by the way Walt, you are not Irish, nor are you SF.

Firstly, I haven't met any Capt's who are illiterate and unable to spell such as yourself.

Secondly, I haven't met any Capt's with an interest in Close Protection/PSD who were unaware of sia regs. and did not conduct their own research beforehand.

Thirdly, PSD? In your case "Personal Social Disaster", is not normal when introducing ones self. You are a disgrace to your Country and Armed Services.

Fourthly, SF? You would know who to contact, your "friends" would have helped you out. Obviously you don't have many friends, do you? Wonder why....?

Hope this helps, I wish you all the best in your search for reality whilst you read though the back pages of "Soldier of Fortune" magazine.

Alas, the red mist fades from mine eyes.....Now, where did I put that cup of tea....?

Regards

Shakespeare
