Hi Guys and gals
New to this and still working my way around the site. You`ve prob heard this question a million time from everyone new. but i would like to get help in choosing a good quality trainer. I want to do UK and Europe, have heard of Meido, Psd Training, contained risks and Clearwater, can anyone give me a heads up on these 4. Look forward to your replies, and once again apologies for the question. Cheers |

You could technically, go to the sia site and go through their list, phone each company, make notes, ask the questions and make notes, then divide the amount of companies into sub divisions of say:
a) Those that ARE actually running courses. b) Those that provide the training you want. c) Those that are running a course in the time frame you require. Do your research well, it pays dividends in the end. Words of wisdom, If a training company guarantees work, walk away...... there are no guarantees in this life................... a training company can train an idiot to do anything, at the end of the course, he's a "well trained" idiot!

Just an observation as a professional Mountaineering Instructor and a former Military Parachute Instructor...If I may say but in my humble opinion not 'everyone' in this life is actually receptive to 'Training' ?
I could give many examples. That is why you will find that in commerciality employers are rather partial to former members of the Armed services because the employer can see substantial evidence within a CV or such like that this individual is recpetive to 'Training'. Now I do not hold former miltary personnel as a mantle for employment and I fully accept that any person who has received, responded to and reached a bench mark standard is entitled to be employed in a position where that role requires performance based on criteria. I speak from substantial training experience in many fields including HE's. My point? to summarise: Not everyone is receptive to 'Training' |

RBENIEST, if you do a search around on this forum you can read many threads about the different companies that are out there, respected companies such as Anubis Ltd, Morrigans, Clearwater projects and RST.
