Hello and thanks for your time...im steve,i was in hm forces for 8 years ( 1 black watch) and am looking at getting into c.p work..i am looking for the best course for price and getting work ...i have been told about the will plan c.p course..i have looked into it...has any one been on the course?what is your views/advice on getting trained?.. Hi Steve, I was in the infantry for 14 years I did a c.p course with wilplan back end of June and now I'm waiting for a date to go out to Iraq. The c.p instructor at wilplan has 24 years of experience in c.p and the army. I can't speak for other training providers but I can say it is a very professional course and demanding, I would strongly recommend wilplan and with your army back ground should have no great problems for getting work.

Hi Steve and welcome to CP world,have a look at some older threads as this topic has been covered a lot,you can use the search bar to look at the older threads,their was one on about wilplan not long ago,their is some exellent trainers on here,i would also look at Brummie Lee RST/Morrigans they do some great courses and you will get your qual for the SIA,i cant tell you anything about wilplan as i dont know anybody who has done their course,drop me a email, if i can be of any more help stay safe ram out.

cheerz guys...im on the case,im doing my sia at the mo through wilplan and guys are realy helpful about what im trying to do....but then again there is money involved with all of this haha

A sia license will improve your opportunities Iam positive of that.
The more training the better, if you need medical training talk to Kdmedical and Kev here on forum, if you need advance tactical firearms (pistol) youre much free to contact me for our training in Sweden.

Also get your CV fixed

register at minimal risk, exmil, etc..
Since the high risk jobs come that way..
The network is sometimes even more important then training its all who you know, on this forum I say its alot of networking opportunities.

If you need anything just ask on the forum since we all try to help one and other here even companies that is fighting over contracts, students here show a fantastic effort i say.

Its impossible to say, this industry is all about who you know and hard work.
For me it took 4 years!
But that was some 16 years ago, and I was working with cash in transit for Securitas, transporting high values.
And jumping in and out on small jobs everything from a day with ricky martin, to Rst in a hotel with the saudi royal family.
Started to join forums and got connected.

I still fight very hard as the majority for every job.
Since I also later organized security courses and took several courses aswell both internationally and domestic ones companies and directors went thrue our training programs, and now I have my own small business where we train a multinational company in the Middle East and sometimes do small CP tasks aswell with them.
Since I have been putting my own company to the side and worked in Iraq & Afghanistan this year I have alot of catching up to do and start our courses again.

After I resigned last year from IBA as national director and instructor, Ive ofcourse lost some opportunities, but we are now trying to focus more on driving, tactical firearms and have been asked by a huge UK PMC company to train instructors in tactical firearms (not yet decided) all come from my client in ME since the PMC company also have the same client eslewhere..( I just give you a understanding in how important the network is and how it was for me,

Therefore the sucsess is up to you, nobody do this for you.
Train, train, train, and network..
get your CV up even to work with cash in transit or door jobs that is (within the industry) and something to put on your CV, try to call the companies and ask if they need help around christmas everyone wants to be home , during the summer vacation is also very good since the Saudi Royal family employ alot of cp , rst boys&girls and is very good to start with..
This job (cp) in low risk is extremely boring, and its most sitting and waiting outside a hotel corridor or in a vehicle.
If you are in for this for the speed, you might think of doing something else..

cheerz mr hawk..im trying to get into the buisness for the money and to learn the job.the holiday pointer is a good one..thanks for that.i done door work for years all over the uk and europe,i was in the army for 8 years and worked with the r.u.c in ireland and worked in terrorist jails such as the maze. im trying to get the breaks to get the work and the money that goes with it.if it means baby sitting some jumped up twat...then so be it...haha...
