I think in my view it is best to do just your job and then go home, being a shoulder to cry on and calling taxi's is in my point a bit too much and the quicker the job is done the better at the end of the day the DS is number 1 not the public we have to look after ourselves first regardless of what is going on, as my DS trainer told me "Heroes Dies Young" and i agree 100 percent!"!!!!

The shoulder to cry on was a figure of speach, with a little sarcasim you always get some punter blubbing cause theyr'e b/f has buggered off with someone else!
Nothing better than a easy night, get paid and go home I will agree, as will most other door stsaff.

Thats a good description of a nite work, just to let you all know what happened tonite at work. Arrived at work 10 minutes to 8 had a look in bar to see who's in...........................
thats a familiar face I just pointed at him "you come here I wana talk to you " he sets his drink down and comes outside with me. You ar barred!!!! what you doing here tonite, "didnt think you would recognise me, he had dyed his hair from blond to black "go get on your way and dont come back" The guy in question a few years back had pulled an Uzi on a Wetherspoons doorman walked up to door opened his coat to reveal the Uzi tucked doen the front of his trousers the doorman proceeded to knock him out, police called he was arrested and charged and recieved I think 5 years served 2 and a half and out, Its a rarity someone pulling a gun on a doorman in Northern Ireland but it does happen.
