Default Assaults and attacks

Just wondering how many of us have been assulted or attacked over the last year or so.

I have only been punched in the face about three times, kicked in the never regions once and more recently the club I part had an interested in we were shot at (they missed).

It would be interesting to see how assault "trends" have changed over the years with the appearance and easy access to guns and knives. Also this would help me in doing a my latest risk assesment for staff in a club that I may be taking on in the next month or so in London.

Cheers

Hello Skinhead ,

Why don't you create a on line poll/survey. There is a facility on this site for you to set one up, when you create a thread it gives you the option of adding a poll.

Regards

Yes, what's wrong with this moon thing, always on full moon there's full of loonies?

Touch the wood din't have any successfull assault on me in quite a bit of time,
however I must admit I have a really traumatic memories from last attempt,

I had to put the guy - who kept coming back at me swinging - in arm triangle choke, and [honestly] totaly unintentionally I did hold him there bit too long and he...

shit himself...

and then stayed and kept argueing for another hour...

damn even spraying him with airfreshener didn't help much...

Full moons!

There was an artice in the Telegraph ages ago about trouble related to Full Moons. This is abolutely true I hasten to add. I sometimes check the moon charts and notice a increase in nutters in London.

We always say that "Matron" has left the fire exit open at the nearest looney bin and all the patients have managed to find their way into the club.......or it could be a full moon...spooky!

The full moon phenomenon is definitely true, everything is effected by the moon. Tides after all are caused by the gravitational effect of the moon and we after all mostly made of water!

I had noticed that I get more argumentative in the three to four days leading up to a full moon. It only dawned on me recently after a series of disagreements with a friend and noticed after that there was a lot of moonlight coming in through the window on each occasion. When I mapped back each occurrence it correlated with the leading up to the full moon. If you are aware that the cycle does effect you then you can at least monitor yourself but for many they are ignorant of the cause of effect so can not guard against more extreme emotional responses to situations.

The word lunatic comes from the Latin word for the moon, Luna so it obviously has been known throughout history.

Main Entry: lu·na·tic
Pronunciation:\ˈlü-nə-ˌtik\
Function: adjective
Etymology:Middle English lunatik, from Anglo-French or Late Latin; Anglo-French lunatic, from Late Latin lunaticus, from Latin luna; from the belief that lunacy fluctuated with the phases of the moon Date: 14th century
