Chriss T is on a distinguished road
I used to work for a company called TJ UK Security Ltd at Eros & Elite Nightclub in (Edinburgh) with a great team of 15/16 others. TJ UK Security Ltd were based at the time at:5 Rothwell Grange Court, Rothwell Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 8FB

They did a runner out of Scotland (Edinburgh) and then closed shop owing us Doormen wages as a few weeks before doin a runner they paid us by check and the checks kept bouncing.

They have now reopened as Security Concept Innovations Ltd
5 Rothwell Grange Court, Rothwell Rd, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN16 8FB

The owners are Terry James Smith and Cyril Burgess.

Anyone with any further info please PM me or post here, but please beaware of these conmen. We have contacted them a number of times to get our wages but they keep haning up the phone or some guy called Keith Brown claims they are no longer the directors so cant pay us what they owe. Companies house says otherwise.

Be warned.

Always name and the shame cowboys and glorify the good ones.

Thats them alright, many thanks Ste7en.

Do you work in the Private Investigation field at all?

I notice that the sia are going to regulate/license this soon, any ideas on courses that would allow me to get the badge. Any info would be much appreciated.

No mate, I did years ago. Why do you ask?

I have no idea about the sia training regime , as it has not been set as yet, nor has an awarding body been set. If you are really interested I know someone who is a PI and a trainer, I will ask him.

I asked as you seem to be very good at tracking down info.

I thought about the CP work but a lot of people have told me there is virtually little work in the UK after training and sia Badge. So I was thinking of the Private Investigation field as a day job. I have herd on other forums that the SIA are going to regulate this area as well, so I wanted to get a head of the que to get the training then when it comes badge/license time I would be sorted.

That is a good topic for the Private Investigation Section, post your question their mate. I only do the sia Door Supervisor training and some other courses, but I honestly dont know about the PI training. I do know that the SIA will be regulating it at some point (more money for them).

This is what the SIA website says, but it has been displaying the same page for a while now, so god knows when they will get their mits into it.

PRIVATE INVESTIGATION

We are currently developing our approach to licensing private investigators.
During 2005 and 2006 we consulted extensively with individuals and representatives working within the private investigation sector on the possible approaches for licensing.
The options for licensing were presented by the Home Office in a partial Regulatory Impact Assessment (download size: 820kb). Individuals and organisations with an interest in this sector had until 24 October 2007 in which to respond with their comments. A full RIA will provide details of the approach that will be taken. What is an RIA?

Precognition Agents

Precognition agents interview witnesses for the purposes of, or in anticipation of, criminal or civil proceeding in Scotland. Proposals for the licensing of precognition agents are being considered in parallel with the development of licensing for private investigators. This is because of a similarity in the activities undertaken by both groups.

WHO NEEDS A LICENSE?

We are currently developing our approach to licensing Private Investigators. Our approach will be based on the requirements of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 and will take into account the findings of our consultation process.

According to the Act you will need an sia licence if you are involved in any surveillance, inquiries or investigations that are carried out for the purposes of obtaining information about a particular person or about the activities or whereabouts of a particular person; or if you are involved in obtaining information about the circumstances in which, or means by which, property has been lost or damaged.

The following activities will not require a licence:
  • activities exclusively for the purposes of market research;
  • activities exclusively concerned with a credit check;
  • professional activities of practising solicitors and Barristers;
  • professional activities of practising accountants;
  • professional activities of journalists and broadcasters;
  • activities exclusively relating to reference to registers which are open to the public; registers or records to which a person has a right of access; and published works;
  • activities carried out with the knowledge or consent of the subject of the investigation.
Schedule 2, paragraph 4 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (as amended) provides full details of non-licensable activity.

My name is Mark Bassledon and I have worked for security concept innovations formally known as tjuk security for the last 5 yrs, I have never had any of my payments for wages not paid, which in this industry is one of the reasons I have stuck with them for so long. I know the people you speak of personally and have allways found them to be honest, reliable and most of all professional.

Tj uk security merged with another company called B safe from chesterfield forming sci ltd. I can not comment on why you say you was not paid, but I am aware they employ hundreds of people through out the uk all of which i know get paid week in, week out with no problems.

I visit there offices regular so they most certainly are NOT hiding or avoiding people as your message suggests.

I think there is more to your gripe than meets the eye, was you damanding money you was not entitled too?

Mark
