There is now a national legal requirement with licensing administered by the SIA for door supervision work.

The following is a typical four day course which will ensure that you have an understanding of the roles and responsibilities required within your job profile as well as give you the necessary accreditation.


UNIT 1 - Role and responsibilities of a door supervisor (15 hours)

Objectives

Module 1- Introduction roles and responsibilities
Module 2- Behavioural standards
Module 3- Diversity, equal opportunities and discrimination
Module 4- Civil and criminal law
Module 5- Arrest
Module 6- Licensing law
Module 7- Searching
Module 8- Health and Safety at work
Module 9- Drugs awareness
Module 10- Records incidents and Crime Scene Preservation
Module 11- Emergency procedures

Assessment- 1 hour exam (written multiple choice) covering Unit 1 content

UNIT 2- Communication skills and conflict management (15 hours)

Objectives

Module 1 - Avoiding conflict and self-awareness
Module 2 - Communication and defusing conflict
Module 3 - Problem solving
Module 4 - Post incident considerations

Assessments are normally a 1 hour exam (multiple choice written) covering Unit 2 content
