Guys
Spoke with a friend of mine at the UN who is working in this area in Turkey he says there is alot of this hiring going on, there is alot of Russians ex soviet block blokes running around basically he says its well dodgy they are using these contractors as bait in the rebel areas hoping that the better "trained" contractors will wipe out the rebels when the convoys etc get attacked.
Plus to this he says beaware of people from this area collecting information from you to sell on to the Iraqi insurgeants already happened to one of his guys he started getting funny letters in the post and phone calls at home.
Just my 10 pence worth
So I have found several companies that SEEM legitimate. The next step for me is deciding which one. Now I know that everyone is going to have a biased opinion on an issue such as this... I'm looking for something where I'll actually have a lot of time to learn, HANDS-ON. I am quite a tactile learner and repetition helps me the most. After doing something about 5 times, I'll be able to do it with absolutely no problem.
My question is, what are some decent entry-level companies that would accept one such as me? I have seen companies that say their age requirement is 18, others are 21. Can someone explain this to me?
Also, is it recommended to have your own gun if you go to a training facility or is it best to rent one so you don't have to hassle through customs? I DO own a Glock 21C, but I'm not sure what the recommended / tried and true firearm of choice is.
I'm not positive on how to officially qualify with a weapons system, but would someone be able to point me in the right direction?
Thank you in advance for reading my ramblings :).
