personally i am not a fan of pitbulls or staffies, different breeds entirely i know but in same group of dogs. Sadly staffies because of the fact they are mainly kept by knuckledragging dole walers have got a rather bad reputation, and i know they are lovely dogs and great with kids my brother has one poor creature has endured 3 kids growing up dragging him about and mauling him and never batted an eyelid.

At the end of the day even pitbulls can be fabulous dogs if they are treated well and brought up properly.... a lab can be a savage beast if treated badly, any dog can. It is first and foremost simply down to the owner and the manner they are reared. Like i have aways told my kids, no matter how small or how cute the dog looks they have no idea if it likes children or how it was raised and therefore they never touch a dog until they ask if they may!.... My spaniel can be a cow if its a stranger and the kids are about.... Any dog can.

Have watched the full footage of this on the BBC website today and it is simply awful, and the fact is that even the owner has no control over his animal. Why peope insist on walking the streets with dogs unleashed is beyond me, for one its an offence to walk a dog by a road unleashed and two its just bloody asking for trouble.

Dog will end up being destroyed simply because the owner is a prize twat

Under DDA section 3 dog not under control, owner may be fined and the dog seized and possibly destroyed. This should be reported to the local authorities and police as this could turn out nasty especially if a child was walking their pet dog.
