Hi Steve - just wanted to know how C019 are responding to the increased terror threat to the UK. And where those threats are expected to be carried out.

By the way, I did some digging and Peter is still attached to STG.Speaking of STG, I've put my hand up to attend their selection course in April 2010 now that I'm Armed Offender Squad (AOS) qualified.I take it from your message to that you are in the U.S now?

Oh roger that. I've read Alan's book and looked into going a couple of the CP courses run by his outfit. He's got some great war stories from his interaction with both Military and Police worldwide. I know Alan has had a bit to do with our Special Tactics Group (STG). They are our equivalent of the UK's CO19.

You're books are great and to be honest I find that I can relate to your experiences better now that I am a member of New Zealand Police, Armed Offender Squad (AOS).My Supervisor is an Ex-UK cop who worked on the ARV's. He is the one responsible for introducing me to your books.Take it easy.
