Has anyone left the Rmp for the civvy bill? I'm just in the process of doing so and wondered if any one that has could offer any advise! Good or bad decision!?

Good decision depending on what you want to do. You will have to do 2 years on street before specialising into firearms or CP etc. Check the policy of force joining as some dont like to have ex mil in firearms positions, strange but true I am afraid.

I left the Rmp 2 years ago and have been knocked back 3 times by the Civvi Bill 3 times in that period for stupid reasons, a bit of a gamble if you ask me.

Anyone know of any work in the NW area??

Hello Johnnyrmp

What were the reasons given for the knock backs? Have you thought about moving to Scotland as I did. Strathclyde are currently recruiting and Scottish Lawis much easier than English, the quality of life is better and far cheaper.

Think about it. I have lived up here for 12 years and wouldnt move back down south.

The first time I was told that they had gone beyond there qouta for recruits, second time I failed the final interview as I failed to show respect for race and diversity and then the third time (last month) I passed everything, got a start date and then was told by the HR department that they were withdrawing my application as they believed that I had too many sick days.

Sort of given up on the whole idea now and feel quite bitter about it too.

Up to you if you want to give it a try, but it aint as straight forward as it you would think it to be these days. They would rather take an 8 stone 18 year old lesbian any day over you or I.
