New Primary weapons issued to Armed Response Units
In the midlands the G36k seems to be replacing the HK53 and the l96 is used for marksmen, although in London they still use the licensed copy of the G3ka4.
Valor, I must have been dreaming the day I was issued with one (G36K) then, and they do not use P226's, I left in 2004 and visit and speak to the guys on a regular basis. I also used to draw out a G36 + PSG1 STOCK which is not the K version.
No, I dont mean the g36 I mean the G3k- thats why I underlined it. The g3k is the Kurz version of the g3. The G3KA4 is designated L100A1 by the British. These were most likely fabricated from receivers produced locally under license, along with G3A3/4s at the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield. They have now been phased out, however the sfo's still use them
The US SF have not issued it, they have been using the hk416 for about 4 years now, I don't believe any swat units anywhere have been issued with it. Also what were you referring to as bullpup?
When referring to Bullpup I was answering the original message in this thread, as I had misread it. As for the SCAR I have seen pictures and footage of US SF carrying what certainly appears to be a SCAR. Could have been promotional pics I suppose.
