Invictus13, thanks for your reply. I pretty much susspected what you said re operational exp etc, and understand the 2year probation period with all police forces, but its good to have my susspicions confirmed.

Why CNC? Purely because I like the idea of policing/protecting a specific resource and the people within that resource (the same with MOD Police) instead of dealing with pissed civvies and domestic bust-ups day in day out; thats not a slant on county force policing, just my feeling of what I want from a career.

The areas of interest to me are training as an AFO and above, maritime transport, road transport security, int and specialist firearms (CNC), and similar with in the MOD - Operational Support Unit and the Special Escort Group.

Trust me Rupert they are a good bunch...in fact a really good bunch of guys and girls and very well resourced... I don't think that you would regret a move to their organisation...

Thaks Carl; they are def my number 1 choice, have been for a while just keep missing out so been exploring other avenues; time to keep my eyes and ears open again!

just to let youknow you can transfer from CNC to MET and BTP now, adapted training. Also no more US shoot outs. New honcho does do them.
