Hi mate,
Working in firearms OCU, I have my saying and bit of clear advise. 1) MOD is not an easy option as those guys have to do some serious stuff interms of guards etc (won't go in detail due to security reasons), yes it can be clam and relaxed but still the pressure is there. To be an AFO (authorize firearms officer) in mod you need to pass the test similar to met police arms unit (not to confuse with C019 unit) So, it tough 2) To transfer from mod to firearms unit. ..... Yes can be done and be honest a lot do all the time but it can take months before transfer goes through. You can look at this as an easy option but I would suggest to get in there and work hard and importantly learn This job can be stressful at times when dealing.... But also a great carrer path & if you are looking for a longterm commitment then you are on the right track!!! Good luck Darkhorse..... |
