unfortunately the powers that be wont like that to much because it looks to much like a 'gun'.
thats why we carry yellow x26's not the black ones that are available

Alot of times you just have to pull the trigger on a taser without the front mag attached, it soon makes the scrote understand what may happen!

Hmm, anything that saves lives is good in my book. The problem I have is I don't trust some PCs with an autolock baton or Captor Spray let alone a Taser.
Christ, it was bad enough when a Gatwick TFU PC 'accidentally' shot another PC in the chest with a Glock and he was 'trained'.....
Can you imagine how cockups there would be if everyone had a Taser?

I agree with 'co19'- I think that serving police officers should get as much protection as possible.
As with the CS it's no good on a windy day, in a confined space or with innocent parties around and is only effective at a short distance.
Also, unlike myself , not every constable is competent with there baton!

Having done live firing platoon attacks with soldiers who quite simply could not dress themselves without help, then yeah i'm pretty cool with all PC's having tazer..! Plus i'd get one, and they look so much cooler than CS cans do

I believe in the culture we are living in today, issuing police officers with tazers is a good thing, and will hopefully make sure an officer will return home in one piece to his family or loved ones after a shift especially with the gun and knife crazed youth of today.

I have answered NO, the reason; in my opinion, a lot of the muppets and I mean a lot, that I see and deal with, I would not trust with a cap gun. The reason I didn’t pick “only some of them” is, who would grade the “some”. Another muppet maybe? Just my opinion, nothing else.

I have seen taser used on a suspect with a knife, not only did it save another officer from having a carving knife stuck in him it saved the suspect from being shot, a good tool for LE
and WOW a was amazed how fast the suspect went down!!!

Frangible Ammo Research
Gentlemen,
In the past I have done some research into frangible ammunition as part of ballistic armour resistance research. Some of the manufacturers who offer frangible are; Winchester, Remington etc… most frangible ammunition is currently produced for training purposes but the best I have found for both operational and training, due to it terminal ballistics performance is the International Cartridge Corporation.
International Cartridge Corporation (ICC)
Non Toxic, Lead Free Ammunition

For more info on frangible I suggest The US Justice Technology Information Network its a good source of information in regards to research on frangible ammunition.
