I have been on a few forums and people are having problems recovering the Date Time stamp from their digital camcorders when producing a DVD for the client. Most cam-corders have a codec that shows the stamp whilst playing back on the camera, but does'nt show it when uploaded to a PC. (The same applies to Digital cameras).
These 2 programmes are excellent, they both come as freeware but it is well worth upgrading to the full package. They both recover the date time stamp from the codec and allow it to be viewed on your PC and on any DVD or CD discs you may then produce. The date time stamp is original, it is not something that you have created so will not present any evidential problems. http://timetophoto.com (Date time stamp for dig photos) http://www.exsate.com/products/videoexpr...hp#capture Hope this is of use to you, I have been using them for 6 months, excellent kit. http://www.veritasni.com |

Info from another site, try this bit of kit, which will retain the DTG.

Yes, I am a member of that group as well, its useful for cross referencing. To be honest mate its a good site for PI's as inthe main that is who uses it. The Private Detective forum here is very slow, I tried starting the A2A networking thread which generated some interest but very little is now posted, a shame.
