Remote Medical International is seeking qualified applicants for paramedic positions, working gloabally in remote areas.

POSITION
Remote Area Paramedic - Full time

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Provide emergent and non-emergent medical care and rescue at Remote Medical International client sites.
2. Maintain, and in some cases implement, site specific emergency and evacuation plans.
3. Conduct onsite training for Remote Medical International client’s staff as needed or required.
4. Maintain equipment and supplies, and submit requests for new/alternate equipment.
5. Document all patient care and provide scheduled reports to the main office and to Remote Medical International clients as required.
6. Provide operational support to Remote Medical International clients as requested and authorized by RMI.
7. Represent Remote Medical International in a professional manner in accordance with the mission statement, strategic objectives, and Medical Support Group Operations Plan.
8. Respond to company directives in a timely manner adhering to stated timelines.
9. Perform QHSE activities as directed by the client including safety inspections, health and hygeine monitoring and QHSE training

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Paramedic.
2. Experience providing extended patient care in remote areas preferred.
3. Foreign travel experience.
4. Excellent communication skills and professionalism
5. Demonstrated self-discipline
6. Ability to integrate into a cross-cultural social structure.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

1. NREMT-P or state equivalent
2. ACLS
3. AMLS (preferred)
4. ITLS or PHTLS-Advanced
5. BLS Instructor (will be provided following employment)
6. Basic Offshore Survival Training (must obtain prior to deployment at own expense)
7. Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (must obtain prior to deployment at own expense)
8. QHSE certification (OSHA or equivalent) is highly desirable, additional training is required

SALARY
$65,000-85,000 per year plus bonuses. Opportunities for advancement after one year.

3. Applicants will be required to complete a 7 day onsite selection program following a successful interview and background check. Applicants are responsible for travel to the site. All training costs associated with the selection program, including food, will be provided by Remote Medical International. This course meets all the requirements for NREMT Paramedic Re-certification and Remote Medicine for the Advanced Provider™ certification.
