![]() Hi, I would like to do a EMT/Paramedic course that would give me a recognised qualification. There are many people offering courses and qualifications but are they recognised or just a waste of time? Hence the reason that i'm asking for some advice. Can any one advise me on what company or course to do? Thank you in advance. P.S.- Apologies for posting this thread on the wrong forum. Last edited by yoda; 18-08-2008 at 11:17 AM. |

Recently finished Ronin CP course in South Africa. They have a very complete Paramedic course which is worth looking into. www.ronin.co.za

Hi Yoda,
As discussed previously, just be careful with regards to which course you choose with regards to the EMT thing. It's a very wooley term that could mean absolutely anything, from a w/e 2 day course that teaches you a bit about wounds and control of bleeding and some BLS, and then promptly issue you with a piece of paper purporting to qualify you as an "Emergency Medical Technician" through to an in depth, full on programme that furnishes you with the skill and knowledge that you require and gives you the same title. As already mentioned, Ex-med have a good reputation, as do Prometheus Medical in Hereford. Good luck with the search though mate. Paul |

No worries mate.
No need to close the thread, keep it open and see if any of the others would like to add something. I'm sure they have much more industry specific experience than I do. Regards, Paul. |

I had completed the Ronin course in SA, whilst The med training I got on there exceeded my expectations with hands on real casulties in ambulances. They run a six week course which I intend on completing in the future, if your after the knowledge and the trg and not a bit of paper, give them a look in.
