Open Uni/Distance Learning Business Courses

Ive been looking at Business Degrees with the Open Uni inparticular. My question is.....

Has anyone done a course with the open Uni while in the pit and is it possible to do? What with all the online turorials etc etc

Has anyone done any business courses with other distance learning institutions?

I did my paralegal diploma with Oxford Uni distance learning, which was very good, but they do sort of send you so much work at a time, you can do online exams and the like but still have to do a final exam in a proper centre. They do business courses too.

Also have used DCA home learning before, they cover a lot of courses and they also do online assesments but a final exam in a centre.

Doing my masters degree in law with oxford Uni distance learning aswell.

I wasn't that impressed with Open University myself, but that was just my experiences with them. They have been around a heck of a long time so they must do something right.

As i say only problems i had were the facts that some only send you a limited amount of text books and assessment packs at a time, and then you have to wait for your next ones which may be a bit of a bugger to you if your in th pit, unless they will give you more to see you through

Your right. The OU are about as much use as.......well something of not much use!

So, what courses have other people done while in the pit? And with what institutions/unis? And how did you find it?

Doesnt have to be a business course although that is what I am looking at primarily. Hopefully leading to a degree and eventually an MBA.

The fact that open uni degrees were made up of separate courses that added up to points was very appealing so if anyone did anything like that then I would be very interested.
