Post CSC Course

David, follow the link that was in the thread and give them a call.
You should ask for Trevor Easley who is the main tutor for the course. He will be able to explain it in more detail than what i can.
I would love to be able to do a full degree but need to get back into how to study first as it has been a long time since the old GCE was the exams to take.
But a quick summary of the course is 4 weeks in class learning split into 2 and a distant learning module which comprises of 4 assignments of which Risk Management Planning/Program and Business Continuity are part of it.
Again give Anubis a call ANUBIS : Anubis Associates Limited :: PRIVATE SECURITY and they will explain everything.

Hi guys

Just for the record re overseas recognition, the MSc with Leicester Uni is recognised around the world by the likes of UN and WFP but like anything else you get out of it what you put in. Two years of hard slog everywhere I went I had a case with all my books etc, and it does take over your life and at one point I had another two quals on the go, but hey graduted last year, and after having year off I am now looking to do the next one.

I'm in the middle of the Risk and Sy Man degree with Portsmouth University. It takes 4 years though as a distance learner.

I think any UK University degree would be recognised internationally.

PaulSmith. Recommend you look at the ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security) international site (US) or the UK Chapter (No208) you will find the links that explain a bit more. It's a distance learning Certified Protection Professional, which is a general security management qual, nothing to do with CP really, however, a good course. You would have to become a member of ASIS and the continued use of the CPP afer passing the course requires a points based CPD, attending seminars, keeping in touch with developments etc. I would recommend joining, very good networking and seminars etc. US recognised.

Watch ya Ben, I must agree with Longmoor on the course above as I'm enrolled on it, starting the course in Sept.

So hopefully I might see ya there on the study days?
