Exactly, many times people couldn't understand why just after watching the group approaching my venue I refuse them entry because I didn't like attidute/body language of some [sometimes single person] of them, usually few moments latter that person gives you all the grieve you can imagine, and by the same token proves the point.
Also I always try to exchange at least few words with people I admit to the venue I'm in charge, it tells you straight away how responsive they are and their level of drunkness also what mood are they in etc If they answer in friendly manner it's ok, if they being rude or ignore you yellow allert light on straight away, after all it is better refuse them and get some shit on the front door, than had to drag them out latter cause you didn't give a s... who did you let in

I think a persons attitude affects many things as has been said police use it aswell, have been pulled a few times at airport security....maybe i just look guilty or something, i must do i always get tagged by the store detectives aswell. Got stopped at Newquay airport for having body armour plates in my hand luggage, took them out of the jacket so it would fold up easier! Having to actually then explain what they were to a so called security type person i found a little bizarre.... he did say they looked like blocks of drugs!!

Ben Guerion International in Tel Aviv is an experience, I was two and a half hours going through security, and the the item I had in my luggage that had them flapping was bog standard battery charger worth about 10euro! I remained polite and in return they were polite and professional. The guy a few feet from me however, went through an entirely different experience on account of his being a little bit lippy. I saw him airside a few hours later looking a little bit traumatised, like he'd been cavity search by "Billy Big Hands" or something. Attitude counts!!

Pulling someone over a t-shirt does sound a bit jobs-worthy though, unless it was something offensive likely to have passengers wanting to lynch him!

what? you mean like a t-shirt saying 'i'm a terrorist and i am going to blow up the plane' perhaps, then maybe i could see the point but bloody hell for a pic of a gun!! Woman at my local airport got done and set off a huge security alert for making a joke about having an offensive weapon in her baggage when they took forever to screen her.... I can see her point they aren't quick but then again, bit of a stupid thing to do! Did fascinate me when i flew 2 days after the last big security alert from teeside to newquay, woman in front of me had a tiny baby and they searched the poor wee thing.... was hillarious as nobody seemed keen on going near its nappy!! My daughter then 4 got searched too and yes i know there are some ppl out there who'd use a child to smuggle something on board but really it's a little ridiculous to screen a tiny baby, suprised they never shoved poor mite through the scanner... that would have impressed me no end.... then had to wait 20 mins extra whilst a family got on board with what i can only describe as a clear sack full of stuff that theyd had taken out of hand luggage, and i mean a sack! Actually found small airports worse than huge ones. Husdband brought a ceremonial gurkha knife through baghdad and dubai airport in his hand luggage and nobody said anything, yet i have to have a dr's letter to get my adrenalin aboard (allergic to everything me)

Very interesting to see that airport security is not much better over there than it is here in the US! The TSA is an absolute joke.
