Your duties will be to manage overall site security with a permanent team of twenty five local security staff. The site is in its infancy and therefore you will need to set up a camp and secure the area. You must be adaptable to bush conditions with basic living and little contact with other expatriates. The site is sufficiently large that you will need to organise your team to secure the same 24/7 with pro-active solutions to petty theft of ore material which can be artisinally mined by hand by local diggers. You will need to implement systems to monitor the integrity of the site, the product that is produced, stored prior to dispatch and the dispatch procedures. You will in addition be required to provide daily updates of all activities to head office. Your ability to provide basic security training and other general skills to your local security team will also be an integral part of your daily routine.

It would be preferential that you have a good speaking fluency in French and be adaptable to local African realities on the ground. You must have a good temperament where very little phases you. You must be head smart and be able to think on your feet.

As your experience and knowledge of our company increases your role may change to reflect the continued growth of the company. Your ability to adapt to these changes and forward new ideas and personal initiatives will be required in this regard.

DURATION

This present employment opportunity will be for a period of twelve months and may be extended subject to both parties agreeing for further periods of six months.


TERMS OF SERVICE

1. A flat salary of 72,000 United States Dollars (USD tax free) for the twelve month period to be paid equally and monthly in arrears either in cash or into your nominated bank account.
2. Medical care for normal illnesses. All major interventions or indeed evacuations must be covered by your own personal health insurance policy.
3. Leave will be three months on and two weeks off where ML will purchase you the cheapest economy return flights back to Europe.
4. Basic accommodation on site will be provided along with fresh food and other normal rations.
5. This offer will be subject to a trial period of employment where either party can sever this arrangement giving one months prior notice at any time up to 3 months from the date of commencement.
6. In the event that you choose to sever this arrangement prior to or at the end of the 3 month trial period, any expenses (flights / visa costs in DRC) will be deducted.
